Should I go back to my natural hair colour?

It's light brown.I was very blond as a child, but light brown after age about 12.These roots are a pain.

Should I go back to my natural hair colour?

dont listen to them-i think it looks GOREOUS as blonde...and you looks so much more outgoing the more you fit into your blonde hair stereotype...ppl are more used to platinum blondes being really funn and it makes a statement cuz it stands out.

Should I go back to my natural hair colour?

Go back to your natural, I am doing the same thing here, it was too much of a pain, plus I was having to use 3 boxes of dye at a time, because my hair was so long. Too much of a pain! Report It

Should I go back to my natural hair colour?

Natural is always better. Add some highlights later if you need some excitement.

Should I go back to my natural hair colour?

yes! lightbrown is very pretty and sometimes blonde coloring can look fake. if you go back to your natural color you dont have to worry about going back for touch-ups or the color fading with the sun or frequent washes.

Should I go back to my natural hair colour?

Natural is always best

Should I go back to my natural hair colour?

I would leave it alone. Besides it's winter time. And if you feel like doing something different, get highlights.

Should I go back to my natural hair colour?

experiment changed it back n if its good for you then leave it. dyeing your hair all the time to keep up w/ your roots is damaging your hair. it thins out your hair

Should I go back to my natural hair colour?

definately go with what you have naturally.... I wouldn't start coloring it at all until the gray starts filtering in...and then color it your natuarl color....

Should I go back to my natural hair colour?

Yes,natural is always prettier and you won't have the root problem.

Any style ideas for natural African American hair?

I went to the store to get a hair magazine and there was nothing in there for natural black girl hair. It was for perms a weaves. I'm trying to grow my hair out because perms make my hair break off. Also, I had a weave one time and I hated it. I had a lot of trouble maintaining it. Currently my hair is straighted and curled under. Can you think of any ideas (besides braids and my current do) for my hair?

Note: My hair is about 1 or 2 inches above my shoulders.

What is a good brand of natural hair care products?

Such as shampoo, conditioner, and gel.

(I know this is a food section but I need an organic opinion)

Thanks!

What is a good brand of natural hair care products?

I use Burt's Bees shampoo and conditioner(sugar beet and grapefruit). I switched to them because they don't use any laurel/lauryl sulfate(makes the shampoo have a thick lather) which irritates the heck out of my skin. I don't use gel or anything like that, though, so I can't help you with a personal preference, but here are some search results:

Also, the last link will be for using henna to dye hair(I've been thinking of using it because of my sensitive skin):)

What is a good brand of natural hair care products?

aveda

only aveda

dont ever put anything else on your hair, go to only aveda salons, let only aveda stylists and colorists touch your hair

Try Vive Pro by Loreal. It works absolutely fine and controls frizz, makes hair shinier, cleaner, healthier, and better. You can get them anywhere except a dining place or a gas station!

I had curly hair when I was a baby, does that mean thats my natural hair texture?

most babys are born with a curl in there hair but most grow out of it the way i found out was wash my hair and leave it to dry on its own, and it went curl .

I had curly hair when I was a baby, does that mean thats my natural hair texture?

yes, most likely.

I had curly hair when I was a baby, does that mean thats my natural hair texture?

not really...i had straight hair when i was born till i was 12 years old the my hair started getting wavey naturally.....as long as you havent permed or straighed or do what ever to your hair , the texture now is the natural one.

I had curly hair when I was a baby, does that mean thats my natural hair texture?

well yes and no because when i was a baby i had jet black curly hair now my hair is coarse

I had curly hair when I was a baby, does that mean thats my natural hair texture?

Not really because as you grow your hair changes texture and even color, if you chemically treat your hair that could alter your hair texture, the elements around you can also. i think everyone has a little curl or wave to their hair. some curl it more and some straighten it. for someone with true curly hair you can't miss it because they usually have a lot of it.

I had curly hair when I was a baby, does that mean thats my natural hair texture?

some times hair changes while we get older.

most of the people as babys had less dark hair than the hair that the have as aduls...

also curly hair sometimes could be straight or the opposite....

that is because while we get older lots of our hormons are changing...

your natural hair texture is th eone you have now and if you let your hair longer you will find out it!

I had curly hair when I was a baby, does that mean thats my natural hair texture?

Not really. I was born bald and I have hair. Your skin will change too as you age.

I had curly hair when I was a baby, does that mean thats my natural hair texture?

no

I had curly hair when I was a baby, does that mean thats my natural hair texture?

not necessarily. a lot of times babies are born with certain features that eventually change, like eye colour. but, nine times out of ten, if you have curly hair when your born, it will prob. stay that way

I had curly hair when I was a baby, does that mean thats my natural hair texture?

your hair changes as you age...different textures for different stages in life...they say about every 7 years or so...your hair changes

I had curly hair when I was a baby, does that mean thats my natural hair texture?

No, baby hair usually isn't your natrual hair texture.

I had curly hair when I was a baby, does that mean thats my natural hair texture?

No. Hair is a protein strand that grows through an opening (follicle) in the skin. A single hair has a normal life of about 4 or 5 years. That hair then falls out and is replaced with a new hair.

Which means, as you age so does your hair... some even say, every seven years your body (and hair) changes.

How come some african-american women say that we should keep our hair n a natural state?

imean, my hair is natural, but it is very hard to manage if i leave it alone and poofy.. but listen 2 what she has 2 say.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOgmMFxHK...

what do u guys think??

How come some african-american women say that we should keep our hair n a natural state?

That's just her opinion. I say if you want to wear your hair natural, go ahead. If you like waves, get a wave nouveau. If you like straight, relax it. It's your preference. My hair is natural, long and healthy and it is not hard to manage, it take about the same effort as when I was relaxed (and it was long as healthy then as well). I always liked styling my hair in different styles while relaxed and I do the same with my natural hair. I don't tell others that they MUST have natural hair. My mother is relaxed and my sister is as well. I love styling their hair and who am I to say my natural hair is better - please! Regardless of what style you choose (natural, straight, wavy, afro, etc.), if anyone looks at you, you're still black.

How come some african-american women say that we should keep our hair n a natural state?

I can't really relate to african-americans who have kinky hair because my hair is more on the wavy side from my indian roots. My hair is not really hard to manage, its only hard when I don't know what hairstyle will fit my face. Not all african-americans have kinky hair though, that only applies to the ones that do. If an african-american has kinky hair they can always go to the hair dresser for tips on what to do with their hair besides just perming.

How come some african-american women say that we should keep our hair n a natural state?

okay .. being mixed with black and other stuff i know what hair like this is like . she acts like black women are the only ones who get their hair done .. white people, asians, mexicans, they do it too ! and there is nothing wrong with it .. and yes long straight hair is looked at as more attractive because of the society we were brought up in .. but i agree that it looks better too ! im sorry to say but if i was working for some corporate company as boss and a woman came in with kinky hair like the lady in the video i would think twice she just looks unprofessional .. and it IS hard to manage .. especially if you have length .. dont give me wrong you should be accepting of your heritage and all but technically most of the black women in america ARE american .. so by fault there gonna go along with there customs .. if shes trying to tell us that we should "embrace" our race why doesn't she learn swahili and learn how to hunt with a spear .. not saying that all africans speak swahili and hunt with spears but i hope you get my point .. and there is a HUGE diffference with hair that is nice waves or curly .. opposed to kinky hair .. and the lady in the video did a twist thingy and thats NOT natural .. and on top of that , shes just trying to be different

What do manufacturers use to make natural hair and beauty products?

Very good question however a little hard to tell you all the ingredients. It really depends on what beauty product you are using. I have sent over some sites that that have basic information about the composition(ingredients) of these beauty products. I hope that gives you a better idea of what each one contains.

I have long straight fine-thin hair, does any1 know of any natural hair thickening remedy?

Use a "kitchen" conditioner. One of the best conditioners for those with thin hair is white vinegar--that's right, the same kind you use in cooking. Mix one tablespoon of white kitchen vinegar in a pint of water and massage it into your hair after shampooing. It changes the chemical balance of your hair to be slightly more acidic; for some reason, that makes hair appear thicker and gives it more shine. The vinegar doesn't leave an odor in your hair.(But of course, be sure to rinse it out before you step from the shower.)

Or, be an egghead. Another kitchen item that can contribute to thicker hair is the lowly egg. Simply crack an egg over your hair before shampooing, and toss away the shell. Massage it in for five minutes and then rinse it out. Since egg is basically animal protein (albeit nonhydrolyzed), it has the same effect as the specially formulated shampoos.

I have also heard that rinsing with beer works. Once a month use a can of flat beer after shampooing. Choose a beer that does not have a strong odor. Shampoo and rinse hair as usual. Pour the flat warm beer on your hair and work it through. Rinse with lukewarm, not hot, water.

I think Herbal essences has a shampoo and conditioner in their new line that volumizes hair
