Not a very good 1st answer !!! We used to have a hairdressers across the road but it closed when the whole area got redeveloped, anyway i would suggest going to your local Carribean hairdressers ask what to have done and ask plewnty of advice on looks and hairstyles .

A friend of mine had the same issue of trying to grow out her relaxer.

She put her hair in extensions [plaits] a month or so, then would take it out for a week to let it breath and to wash it, and sometimes trim it, then return it to extensions.

It does take a while but i guess that's a way to help the hair grow whilst not looking too childish.

I find the nicest way to do extensions is pick and drop, you can do more with it, and looks fresh for a long time.

You need a good quality hair product, try Phyto which is veryb popular amongst people with afro-carribean hair. Phytospecific is another good range. they have ultra nourishing properties and the phytospecific range was developed with afro-carribean hair in mind.
