i have an afro and a lot of people stare at it. it is growing really really fast and long. which is good. my hair was always breaking from the chemicals. implus the chemicals burned. how do you deal with people staring at your afro?

When people stare, it is because they are usually jealous.

Ignore them.

I dont know if my opinion matters, I dont have an afro. But my hair is naturally really curly and people look at it really weird if I dont straighten it.

They suck.

Attractive hairdo always invites the attention of men.

That's why muslim women are required to cover their hair. And you can do that too, if you don't like the attention.

with your head held high like a queen...my hair is natural too but i rarely wear it curly or in an afro bc a lot of men find it attractive.. and i dont like the attention

I am dealing with the same thing!!! I recently went natural so I currently have a TWA!! People seem to criticize my hair more than praise me for cutting it. I love my hair though so I don't care what other people think. Love your style, own it, and be confident! All these haters out here don't matter to us!!

When I wore my hair natural my mom hated it. She was like please straighten your hair - but whatever. I like the natural look. Ignore them. I have heard some of the meanest things about natural hair toward others and this was in a Black ad agency.

Girl just rock the fro!! As long as you feeling confident about don't worry about it. I've got about 6 inches on my head right now and stay rocking the fro. People love it and i don't mind showing what i've got.

I like them to stare.....I like when I wear a chunky fro, not even , and looking a little wild like me....that's when I know they wish they had my confidence.
