I am black and wear my hair without any chemicals. I am thinking about flat ironing my hair. Has anyone had any good results with this?

Yes ma'am. I flat iron my daughters hair all the time. She has no chemicals in her hair either. Just be careful with the amount of heat that you use. You don't want to burn your hair. But if it's not hot enough it wont get super straight. It will take practice.

you certainly can flat iron your hair.....just make sure it is conditioned very well so you dont heat damage it.....something like sheen or even bio silk.....

Yes, they will definitely help your hair. Flat irons also make your hair shiny like you just walked out of the salon!

Firstly I don't advocate straightening hair but you need to blow dry it with a comb attachment. The apply something to protect it from the heat.

I babysit a little 5 year old girl with black hair. Every now and then her aunt will sit and flat iron it. It doesn't come out perfectly straight but it does look cute and when it's straighten it is about twice as long. I still think it's cuter tho when it's all curly.

please dont....it "works" technically but it looks greasy and gross...... if your hair is kinky/nappy, you wont be able to achieve that straight hair look some black women have, it wont be bouncy at all or anything like that, it will get stiff and coarse... just dont......
