Help with dying hair back to natural?

so right now my hair is dyed with mostly chunks of white-blonde, my natural color being dark brown (which i have underneath and a patch on the side. sounds weird i know haha, but i've been happy with the results so far) . i want to dye most of it back to my natural color because i'm sick of the roots. how can i dye it back without having to continually worry about roots?

I had this problem 2 years ago because I always dyed my hair blonde. What I did was get a color just one shade darker than my natural color and apply to the whole head, you know color will fade in time that's why you choose one shade darker. In about 6 or 8 weeks you probably want to do the same thing all over again to replennish the color because by now the blonde chunks will be wanting to shine through. It should only take the second time to get it right. Now, your hair can grow out naturallly and get healthy again. Mine is very healthy now and I am loving it.
