How do i get natural wavy looking hair?
I take a shower at night then spray Tresemme detangle leave-in spray and put it in a messy bun, when i wake up my hair is dry, and wavy, then i put in some tresemme weightless body extra hold mousse... and voila!

curl your hair with a curling iron. Don't hold the iron on too long, and as soon as you take the iron off run your fingers down the curl once or twice.
or, scrunch it with mousse (tresemme tres extra hold mousse works best for me).
that's how i get my pretty waves!

at night wash your hair, while it is wet, put in thermasilk flexible hold hair spray, then dry it to where it is still slightly damp, then make several small buns, about 5 to 8 or more depending on how thick and long your hair is, the go to bed, in the morning they should be dry and when you undo them your hair will be wavy, caution --- do not make the buns very small or your hair will be kinky, each should be the size of a dinner roll, good luck.

I think that curls and waves are terms used interchangibly. To me, they are two separate styles. There is a current look that is loose uniform curls. This is often referred to as "waves". To achive that look you must use a large/medium curling iron (larger depending on how long your hair is) and curl your hair in the same direction for each side of your head. Be sure to curl in the direction away from your face for each side. The other look is true waves which can be created with a deep waving iron like this http://www.conair.com/-p-452.html. Once you wave each section of hair from crown to end, gently separate the waves to create that slightly messy natural look.
You can also try braiding your hair in large sections and misting with a leave-in conditioner (or favorite setting product) to set overnight.
Have fun with your new look!
