Well, I used to relax my hair and I started while I was 6 now I'm 16 goign on 17. And I just became natural becaue my hair started to get stringy and thin and I just wanted to see myself with my kinky and curly hair again.

NOPE I get my hair pressed. My hair is not that bad actually ,so I dont need relaxers. I can get a good press and my hair will be straight as any woman with a relaxer. You should try it. Grow the relaxer out and start pressing. I also color mines so I know that relaxer and color will never work for me.

I've been relaxing it for as long as I can remember, which wasn't a very good idea, as it's very damaging. When I have daughters and if their hair is as kinky as mine, I'll urge them to wear it naturally so that it's more healthy.

I go natural it is cheaper to maintain and less damage to your hair. Plus there are so much things you can do with it when it is natural eg. braiding, locks(rastafarian) rope twist etc.

Well, I get perms, weaves, and all that good stuff. Also, I curl, braid, and whatnot. So, I guess my hair is anything, but natural right now. However, my hair has never gotten thin or stringy like u say yours has.

I don't perm and braid and relax every 2 weeks, like some girls that r obessessed wit their hair. I go a while before gettin' a perm or braids.

I've asked my white brothers the same thing. They all use that flat iron as seen on TV. Although Geri curl works too.

I relax it in the winter and let it grow natural in the summer.I've been doing this for over 20 years.
