all you have to do is reduce the volume of developer with water and color it red. it will automatically go pink.

grey hair won't grab the red molecules well.

if you don't want pink, but red you must first pre-deposit color into the hair.

Try to find a semi permament colour. It will not attack your darker hair. I'm not a hairdresser so I don't really know!??

Without using a "natural" color on your grey any red color will go pink. To cover this you would either have to go darker or lightener.
