What do i do to get back my natural hair after using a curl activator?

Unfortunately, once you've chemically altered your hair (i.e., permed it straight or curly), the only way to get it back to the natural hair is to cut off any of the processed hair. You can cut it off as your hair grows or go the drastic way and cut it all off at once.

I'm a little unsure what you mean "curl activator". Usually that refers to the chemicals to maintain a Jheri curl and I really don't know how to go back to natural after a Jheri curl other than what I said above.

I hate to think of all the damage that is done to chemically processed hair and although it may take patience to go natural, I think your hair would thank you for it if it could!

Define 'curl activator'. I'm a hairstylist, I need more info.

Um, I suggest washing my hair. And if you use curling irons or straighteners alot, ( you probably don't use the straightener very often!) then you should try Dove reparing Shampoo and Conditioner!

You would have to grow it out and cut off the processed length as you go. There is no way to "go back" to your natural hair after you chemically alter it.

OOoohhh...so you did use a curl activator as in the actual texturizer stuff and not just the gel...well Cherry if you devote the time to taking care of it and spend the money on quality hair products (like things targeted toward your hair type or even expensive brands like Pantene) you can get yor natural state back...I'm living proof. The last time I relaxed my hair was over 5 years ago and I did not cut it off either. Over time my relaxer just wore off, that's why I stopped getting them the effect didn't last long. I beleive the same for you although professional stylist have told me I would have to cut my hair or it would break. Not true. Cherry if you wash and condition it regularly and deep condition it...you will get your hair back. Try this for a couple months and see if things are looking up for you, if you aren't convinced things are looking uniform you may have to bite the bullet...
